delaware beach weddings

One of the most important choices that you will make for your wedding day is the selection of your photographer.

You'll want to hire an experienced professional who is friendly, flexible and can work quickly in a variety of situations.

You'll want to find a photographer whose style you like and who you feel confident will create great photographs

while you celebrate with your family and friends.

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions. If you have more, please feel free to e-mail us or arrange an appointment so you can ask us in person.

When do you arrive for the wedding?

We plan to arrive at where the bride is getting ready about an hour before the planned departure for the ceremony.

If everything is held at one location we like to arrive about two hours before the ceremony.

What can I expect from you on the wedding day?

Once we arrive, we'll photograph the dress, the invitation, the flowers and jewelry while we wait for the bride, bridesmaids and family to get ready.

When the bride is dressed we can photograph some remaining getting ready shots before we begin the formal poses.

Generally we plan on shooting portraits for 15-20 minutes and spend the rest of our time shooting candids.

When everyone leaves for the ceremony, we'll follow you to the site and prepare to photograph the procession.

We'll use flash only during the procession and recession. We choose to shoot the ceremony using natural light and a variety of lenses.

After the ceremony, it generally takes about 30 minutes to photograph the formal poses, if everyone is ready. Each group photograph can take

an average of two or three minutes each depending on the size of the groups. Generally, we can photograph 12-15 groupings in 30 minutes. We also like to be able

to photograph the bride and groom alone as well as some more pictures of the wedding party at an outdoor location, if possible, which will be another

15 to 20 minutes. From this point on, we photograph candids throughout the reception without staging. It's time to celebrate and we will be capturing those moments.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We use professional Nikon digital cameras with a full array of lenses from fisheye to extreme telephoto. This variety allows us to quickly create different styles of images throughout the day.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes. We backup every piece of equipment. We travel with no less than 4 camera bodies and 4 flashes with backup cords and cables for everything.

Do you have any time limits on photographing at a wedding or limits on the amount of shots that you will take?

NFor a full day wedding we will provide 500+ images.

Do you offer Engagement portraits?

Yes, we offer an engagement portrait session at an outdoor location.

Our fee is $250 and includes a DVD of the final photographs and a minimum of 20 4x6 prints.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are covered with liability insurance. If your venue requires proof of insurance we will be glad to provide them with it.

How far will you travel to photograph a wedding and what does it cost?

We have photographed in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I try to keep our travel time to two hours or less.

My general rule of thumb is if you're willing to travel to meet with us then we're willing to travel to photograph your wedding.

We have no additional charges for travel.

How long will it take to receive my pictures?

Your pictures will be posted online within two weeks of your wedding date. Your disc and proof book will take an additional two weeks.

What will it cost to have you photograph our wedding?

Our prices start at $1000 for the 4 hour package and $1600 for the 8 hour package. Packages including finished albums are additional and

can be ordered separately at a later date. Please refer to our wedding prices link for more detail.

How do I reserve my wedding date with you?

Please, e-mail us first to make sure that we are available for your wedding date.

Once we know that we are available we'll set up an appointment here at our home office in Elkton to meet with you and discuss your wedding.

At our meeting, you can view our portfolio as we get acquainted and we'll answer any questions that you may have. If, for any reason, you cannot travel to meet with us

we can arrange to speak on the telephone. If you decide to hire us a signed contract and a $300 retainer is needed to reserve your date.
