One of the most important tasks in arranging all of the details of your wedding day is to select your wedding photographer. Not only do you want to find someone with professional experience and equipment who is accomplished in wedding photography but you need to find someone who is friendly, flexible and can work quickly in a variety of situations. The comfort level between you and your photographer is reflected in your photographs.

We cover from Philadelphia Pennsylvania toWilmington and Newark Delaware through Lewes and Rehobeth Beach. We also cover Elkton, Chesapeake City, Notheast, Havre de Grace, Aberdeen, Belair, Towson and Baltimore through Annapolis Maryland. To assist you in deciding if you wish to retain our services, here are the answers to a number of frequently asked questions.

1.What kind of experience do you both have?

I have been a professional photographer since 1976. For many years, I worked in the production of audio visual presentations which allowed me to work in both studio and location photography. During the 1990's, I began to photograph weddings and have photographed over 150 weddings in the last 6 years. To keep current with the latest trends and changes in the industry, I belong to Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI). I love to photograph weddings and it is one of the most exciting experiences in photography.

My wife and partner, Salinda, graduated from The Philadelphia College of Art with a B.F.A. in drawing and painting. She is employed as an art teacher and has recently received her M.F.A. in Fine Art fromThe Maryland Institute and College of Art(MICA). She shoots images for black and white and works with the bride during the preparation.

2.What kind of photographic equipment do you use?

We shoot with professional Nikon cameras. We use a wide variety of different lenses to help us create different styles throughout the day. Any film images that we create are scanned at the time of processing to produce digital files that will produce prints up to 8x10 in size.

3.Do you have backup equipment?

Yes. Every piece of equipment is backed up. We travel with no less than 4 cameras and 4flashs with backup cords and cables for everything.

4.Do you have time limits on photographing at a wedding or limits on the amount of shots that you will take?

Most wedding photography is usually completed in 7 hours or less. We plan on working up to 8 hours and will continue to shoot through the reception until all of the events have been covered and we feel we have fully captured the important moments. If needed, we can be available for more hours. As for the amount of shots that we take, every wedding is different and we will shoot whatever we need to best capture the moments of the day but there is never a limit.

5. How many pictures will I receive?

We guarentee a minimum of 350+ images with our full day wedding coverage. These are edited from a larger number to give you the best images of the day. However, for most weddings we produce between 350-550+ different photographs.

6.What can I expect from you on the wedding day?

We arrive where the bride is getting dressed about an hour before the planned departure for the ceremony. We photograph candidly while waiting and get aquainted with everyone. My wife, Salinda, or an assistent photographer if she is unavailable, will spend some time with the bride and bridesmaids as they get ready and shoot candids. This allows your wedding party to get comfortable having us around and become less self conscious. Once everyone is ready, the formal photographs at this location take 15-20 minutes. We follow you to the ceremony site, introduce ourselves to the officient to ask about any restrictions and set up to shoot the ceremony. I am prepared to shoot with a long lens on a tripod, prefering not to use flash during the ceremony.

After the ceremony and receiving line are finished, it will take approximately 30 minutes for formal bridal, family and wedding party photographs at the site. Each unique pose with a different grouping averages about 2 to 3 minutes per pose. Generally we plan on shooting between 12-15 different poses.Afterwards, if we can arrange it in the schedule, I like to shoot at an outdoor location with the bride and groom for a few romantic shots and some additional bridal party shots. From this point on, we shoot candids throughout the reception without staging. During the reception, if anyone has requests for specific group portraits, we are happy to accommodate them. Otherwise, it is time for everyone to celebrate and we will be capturing those moments with candid photography.

7. How long will it take to receive my pictures?

You recieve the original images online in 3 weeks after your wedding day and 4x6 prints or proof magazine(if you choose these options) in about 30 days. After you have made your selections, it takes 10-12 weeks to complete your finished wedding album.

8. What will it cost to have you photograph our wedding?

We offer a variety of packages and options that you can choose for your finished album. The minimum price for full day wedding photography starts at $1600 which includes online viewing and a Hi-Res DVD with copyright release. Various combinations are available with proofing options, wedding albums or coffee table books.

9. How do I reserve my wedding date with you?

Please e-mail us first to make sure that we are available on your wedding date. Once we have determined that we are available, we will set up an appointment to meet with you to discuss your wedding. At this time, you can view our portfolio and sample albums as well as discuss the options that you are interested in. A $250 retainer and a signed contract will be needed to reserve your date.

10. How far will you travel to shoot a wedding?

We cover all of Maryland, Delaware and Southeastern Pennsylvania. We have photographed from Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia and many points in between including Baltimore, Towson, Havre de grace, Aberdeen, North East, and Chesapeake City. We don't charge for travel to your wedding.
